To apply for a visa for the UAE, a Lebanese married woman travelling alone requires a no objection letter from her husband, plus a copy of her husband’s photo ID.
While citizens from 33 privileged Countries (France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Switzerland, … the list goes on) can obtain a visit visa on arrival, and while citizens of the Arab Gulf Co-operation Council (GCC) member states (Bahrain, Kuwait, Qatar, Oman, Saudi Arabia) do not even need a visa, Lebanese -again- fall on the bottom of the people-that-we-like list.
Here is an interesting book that teaches sexual discrimination for the occasion

I do also believe that female citizens of the GCC also require letters from their husbands to be able to leave their country in the first place. So in essence, its not really visa-free.
