The Fremont Fair returns to celebrate community with a toast to summer!
Held annually in mid-June to coincide with the Summer Solstice, the event draws more than 100,000 people to shop, eat, drink, mingle, groove, and enjoy all manners of creative expression. Artistic highlights include the free-spirited Solstice Parade produced by the Fremont Arts Council.
Most participants believe that there is nothing indecent about a naked body and counter that the only thing that is indecent are the laws on indecent exposure. Many contend that the shame is on those who demand coverups, not on those who can go without.
The Naked Bike Ride’s purpose is to draw attention to oil dependency and the negative social and environmental impacts of a car dominated culture.
